A goal without a plan is just a wish

During the past few years I have had many new business ideas. Perhaps too many (as some of my friends said .-) )

Don’t get me wrong. It’s not because I don’t like my job. Actually quite the opposite. I love what I do.

But somehow I always think what I could do better. I wonder what I could add, what new service I could offer to compliment my offering. Or what new target audience I could attract.

Since I had too many ideas, it took me a while to become clear about my goal, about which ideas to really pursue (since I wanted them all 🙂 ) This meant that I needed to set priorities.

Prioritize your passions

What helped me a lot was taking the Passion test with Janet Attwood. After going through the test myself, I was so amazed that I decided to become a facilitator of her Passion Test method myself. The process of elimination and prioritization of the passions is very powerful. I will write more about it a bit later in another blog post.

What I want to share today is, that once you get clear which way to go and what to do, you need to make a clear plan and set the goals. As the picture says: A goal without a plan is just a …wish

I was lucky to come across Goal Mapping process with Brian Mayne. His process is very powerful, based on neuroscience’s findings and used by thousands of individuals but also corporate clients all around the world.

I waited long 2 years and finally accomplished his training and became a Goal Mapping Practitioner. I have to say I can’t wait to get started to use this amazing tool and also help others.
