LOVE YOUR JOB EVEN IF YOU DONT LIKE IT. HOW?
DO YOU LOVE YOUR JOB EVERYDAY?
” Love your job, but don´t love your company, because you may not know when your company stops loving you „ Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam
There are different interpretations of words like happiness, joy, and fulfillment. Happiness comes and goes. Sometimes faster, but it always vanishes. You can get happy from getting good grades at school, receiving a nice gift, getting a promotion and a salary increase, buying a new car or home, etc. But all this does not last.
Happiness fades, fulfillment lasts, if you love your job
Fulfillment lasts. As Simon Sinek said, that is because of the feeling of belonging and having a purpose. If someone says that they are fulfilled, that does not mean they are “happy-happy joy-joy” every day.
If I say my work fulfils me extremely, it does not mean my job is extraordinary every day. I wish it would be 😊 I also often have hard times and need to face obstacles on the road, but since there is a bigger purpose, I have a bigger motivation to continue driving forward and find solutions to overcome any difficulties. And then, as a result, I am overall happy with my job, even with all obstacles and challenges, since there are a purpose and a bigger vision behind it.
I don’t like my job every day. But I do love it! Do you love your job?
Focus on the purpose, not the details
When you don´t love your job, often we miss the bigger purpose. We focus on small daily tasks. Our titles, our salary, our colleagues. If they are not amazing, fantastic, and outstanding, we get disappointed and frustrated.
Neuroscientists and mindfulness teachers would say that we are in our head. And we shall be in our hearts instead.
The problem is that if you miss the sense to be part of something bigger, you try to justify your unhappiness with more obvious arguments like bad colleagues, a bad boss, a bad salary, etc. There must be a reason for our unhappiness, so we search for it, and we always find at least one. Our brain is excellent at finding some evidence.
When I see people leaving their companies because of the change of the organizational structure or having less hierarchy, or not accepting a job offer because of the job title, I know there was something bigger missing.

Titles and high salaries don’t bring fulfillment, IF YOU DON´T LOVE YOUR JOB!
There are very many people with great titles, a huge salary, driving the biggest company car – and still, they are unfulfilled. There are very many people with great titles, a huge salary, driving the biggest company car – and still, they are unfulfilled. If they are in a leadership position, it is especially unfortunate, because they are not leading by example, most likely. They are not inspiring others, and how could they when they are not inspired themselves. They are not spreading their passion since they don’t have it themselves.
I am sure you all know someone who can fit this category. And lets make sure that you are not one of them.
KNOW YOUR BIGGER PURPOSE, KNOW WHAT MAKES YOU FULFILLED AND KNOW WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY AND GIVES YOU JOY AND FOLLOW THAT! AND BE BRAVE TO MAKE A CHANGE!
Perhaps be brave to accept the job offer even with a bit lower salary if the cause/purpose is great and you know you will shine every day! There are millions of people doing voluntary unpaid work in charity organizations that are extremely happy and fulfilled with their work. They don’t need a title or a huge salary, and the same applies to all corporate people.
As Tony Robbins says, we all need to grow.
IT’S THE GROWTH WHICH MAKES US FEEL ALIVE AND FULFILLED!
But growth does not mean increasing salary. It is about
• having a purpose
• going towards the bigger vision
• having challenges on the road and learning to overcome them
• learning every day somethign new
those are the things which makes us fulfilled.
Choose your next job consciously – YOU ALL CAN LOVE YOUR JOB
So choose wisely when you are considering the next job opportunity. Why?
• Because of the feeling of being fulfilled by your work
• feeling of that joy and passion
• feeling of happiness when you come home and share your day with others
• feeling of proudness when you achieve something… it is so worth it all.
And you will influence everyone around you to the better too. Become that role model, choose your path intentionally and shine!
I warn you: You may become unstoppable .-)
